1. The service

UA Buddy is an independent notification service operated from Salt Lake City, Utah. Each morning we check the publicly dialable color-line announcement of the testing program you specify and send you alerts by SMS, email, or Telegram, including an alert when your assigned color or symbol is called. By creating an account you accept these terms.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 years old.
You agree to provide accurate information — including your correct color or symbol — and to keep it updated if your program changes it. Alerts are only as accurate as the color on file.
The subscription covers alerts for one person. Don't submit someone else's phone number without their consent.

3. SMS messaging program

Program: UA Buddy daily color-line alerts.
Message frequency: typically 1–3 messages per day.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
Reply STOP to cancel messages at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact hello@uabuddy.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Important — not a substitute for your program's requirements

UA Buddy is not affiliated with any court, probation office, or treatment provider, and nothing we send is legal or medical advice. Your testing obligations are set solely by your program and can change without notice to us. Phone lines, carriers, transcription, and networks can fail or be delayed. You remain responsible for verifying your color and completing your required tests, exactly as if UA Buddy did not exist. If an alert ever conflicts with what your program tells you, follow your program.

5. Billing, cancellation & refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe at the plan you choose at signup: $3.99 per month, $9.99 per 3 months, or $29.99 per 12 months (or the price shown at checkout). Every plan renews automatically until cancelled.
Free trials: some signup codes start your subscription with a free-trial period (the length is shown at checkout). A valid payment method is collected at signup but charged $0 during the trial. When the trial ends, billing starts automatically at the plan price unless you cancel first. We email a reminder before your first charge, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost from your settings page or the links in our emails.
Cancel any time by replying STOP to any message, via the billing link in your receipts, from your settings page, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; the current billing period — including prepaid multi-month periods — is not refunded, and your alerts continue until the period you paid for ends. We may issue refunds at our discretion.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it cannot be collected, your alerts pause until payment resumes.
Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by text or email.

6. Service availability

We aim for every-single-morning reliability and build in retries and human review, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that alerts will be delivered, on time, or error-free. When we cannot confirm a day's color, we say so rather than guess.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim; and (b) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including missed tests, program sanctions, legal consequences, or lost income — arising from missed, delayed, or inaccurate notifications. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no reselling alerts, scraping, interfering with the platform, or using it for anyone other than the subscribed individual. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with a pro-rated refund of any prepaid period if we terminate without cause.

9. Disputes & governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally — most issues are fixable with an email. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by text or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms plus the policies linked above are the entire agreement between you and UA Buddy.
