Privacy Policy

UA Buddy ("we," "us") provides daily drug-testing color-line notifications by SMS, email, and Telegram. We built this policy around one idea: we collect the minimum needed to send you your alerts, and your information is never for sale.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, mobile phone number, email address, the testing program you participate in, and your assigned color or symbol.
Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status and a customer reference — we never see or store your card number.
Message records: delivery status of alerts we send, and keywords you text us (such as STOP or HELP).
Coverage requests: if you ask us to add a testing center, we store the center name and color-line number you provide so we can notify you when it's live.
Basic technical logs: standard web server logs (IP address, request time) kept for security and debugging, rotated automatically.
Aggregate analytics: we measure our own website traffic (which pages are viewed, rough visitor counts, and which sites link to us) using a privacy-friendly, cookieless method. Visitors are counted with a daily-rotating anonymous code; we do not store your IP address for analytics, use no third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics), and cannot follow you across days or other websites.

We do not collect medical records, diagnoses, treatment notes, or test results. Your color assignment is provided by you, and the daily color announcement comes from your program's publicly dialable phone line.

How we use it

To send the alerts you signed up for — daily color announcements and notifications when your assigned color is called.
To manage your subscription, billing, and support requests.
To comply with carrier and legal requirements (for example, honoring opt-outs).

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with data brokers. Ever.

Text messaging & consent

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties.

Service providers (subprocessors)

We share data only with the vendors required to operate the service, only for that purpose, and each is bound by its own contractual and legal obligations:

Telnyx — SMS delivery and telephony
Stripe — payment processing
DigitalOcean — server hosting (United States)
Telegram — only if you choose to link a Telegram account
Our email delivery provider — only if you opt into email alerts

Security

All traffic to and from uabuddy.com is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS).
Data is stored on access-controlled servers in the United States with firewalled, key-based access limited to service operators.
Payment credentials never touch our servers (handled entirely by Stripe).
We retain only the minimum data needed to run your subscription.

No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly as required by applicable law.

Your rights & choices

Opt out of texts: reply STOP to any message — it takes effect immediately.
Access or correction: email us and we'll send you the account data we hold, or fix anything that's wrong.
Deletion: email us to delete your account and data. We honor deletion requests regardless of which state you live in, subject to records we must keep by law (such as billing records and opt-out lists).

Data retention

Account data is kept while your subscription is active and for up to 90 days after cancellation (so you can easily rejoin), then deleted or anonymized on request or in our periodic cleanup. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely as required by carrier rules. Billing records are kept as required by tax law.

Age

UA Buddy is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by text or email before they take effect.
